Ameco adds three capabilities on Aeroflex avionics
Ameco Beijing's Civil Aviation Calibration & Test Center (CTC) developed calibration and repair capabilities on IFR4000, IFR6000 and GPS-101-2 of Aeroflex avionics, which was certificated by CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment that is the highest organization in China to authorize certificates for calibration and test of equipment) at the end of June. It made CTC the first institute with such capability in China .
Compared with three months of outsourcing abroad, the average Turn Around Time (TAT) now is reduced to 10 working days by CTC. The customers' test equipment utilization rate is obviously improved through TAT reduction.
As its only authorized service center for compensation claim, calibration and repair in China by American Aeroflex, Ameco Beijing cooperated with it to establish aeronautical avionics test equipment laboratory in July 2007.
Now, Ameco Beijing has modern national-level laboratories and over 220 calibration capabilities won the certificates of CNAS in CTC. Ameco Beijing is making efforts to develop calibration and test capabilities on aircraft test equipment.

Ameco Beijing joins MRO Americas 2010
Ameco Beijing sent delegates to participate in MRO Americas 2010, or the 15th Aviation Week's Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Americas Conference and Exhibition, held in Phoenix, Arizona between April 20 and 22. Although the volcanic eruptions in Iceland forced most airlines in Europe to suspend flights, leaving a number of European exhibitors and media participants unable to make the trip, delegates from more than 500 airlines and MRO service providers the world over joined the show, making the number of exhibitors a new record high.
A hot topic for the exhibition this year is how to reap higher profits, enlarge market share and achieve stronger multi-faced cooperation in the next few years, in a bid to ensure more efficient supply chain and facilitate global economic growth.
After Ameco Beijing signed a second-phase contract with the United Airlines on long-term aircraft heavy maintenance, it has drawn more attention from more exhibitors and the media in the North American market. During the show, top leaders from UA offered their recognition on the maintenance quality of its partner and the Ameco Beijing brand is being recognized by more industry professionals. During the exhibition, delegates from Ameco Beijing, UA, Delta Airlines, ILFC, Hawaiian Airlines and FEDEX organized in-depth discussions on specific cooperation projects in the spheres of aircraft overhaul, engine overhaul and component maintenance. PBS of the United States conducted interview with SD Executive Director Reck concerning Ameco Beijing's project with UA, drawing journalists from the Overhaul & Maintenance magazine, Aviation Maintenance magazine, Flightglobal media group and some local US media who all showed great interest on Ameco Beijing's progress.
The series of MRO conferences and exhibitions was initiated by the Aviation Week Group of the US, with an aim to promote regular communication and exchanges among global airline operation and maintenance managers, manufacturers and suppliers. The First MRO Conference and Exhibition was launched in Dallas in 1995 while MRO Europe and MRO Asia exhibitions were kicked off in Berlin, Germany, and Hong Kong, China in 1998 and 2000 respectively.
While always working to enhance its comprehensive service capabilities, Ameco Beijing has been exhibiting its MRO services and expanding its scope of maintenance market through aviation exhibitions and conference platforms around the world. The current show is the 10th time Ameco Beijing sent delegates to take part in MRO Americas since 2001.
